Translation and Interpretation Services Needed by Companies of Every Size

In August AMCI, the auto marketing giant, called on American Language Services for help. It was hosting a multinational (and multilingual) conference on automobile research at its Los Angeles offices and needed to converse with its many international partners in the automotive industry. We supplied the organization, known worldwide for its legacy of “world’s first” communication programs, with highly experienced interpreters for Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, Japanese, Russian and Thai.

But multinational corporations aren’t the only ones that need translation and interpretation services. We also have clients who need our services but don’t operate outside of the United States. Richard Heath and Associates (RHA) is a good example.

In August RHA called on us when they needed to reach out to their Spanish- and Cantonese-speaking customers living in California. We were honored to help the firm, which has been designing programs to help California families conserve energy since 1979. It even created California’s first Low Income Energy Efficiency (LIEE) program.

RHA and many other California-based companies, rely on us to help them reach out to a statewide market where more than 90 languages besides English are being used at home. When they want to target these groups, they contact us.

American Language Service operates both in the US and around the world. Our winning combination of excellent service, high-quality interpretation and translation services — often from local linguists — has made us one of the premier international providers of language services, which include Arabic, Armenian, Cantonese, Greek, Haitian-Creole, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese and many more.

When Google Searched for Interpretation Services

Conference planners Momentum Worldwide called upon American Language Services to be the Linguists du Jour

Momentum Worldwide, a global marketing agency with a network of creative thinkers, brand stewards, marketing leaders with offices in over 50 countries, was the meeting planner that handled the conference. As the New York City based Momentum has done frequently, it chose American Language Services to provide interpretation services to non-English speaking conference attendees.

The event, the Google Illicit Network Conference, was an in-depth exploration of international security issues facing countries around the world, and the possible solutions that technology, and the Internet in particular, could provide to international law enforcement agencies.

The event was attended by many from around the world, and to facilitate communication among non-English speaking attendees, American Language Services provided two Korean interpreters, two Arabic interpreters, two Indonesian interpreters, two Spanish interpreters, two Dari interpreters and two Hebrew interpreters.

In addition, AML-Global provided encapsulated booths, 32 headsets/receivers and two audio technicians who maintained the equipment and ensured that clear audio was available to all who required interpretation services.

Special Delivery: Conference Interpretation for Domino’s

America’s Top Pizza Delivery Company Holds Vegas Conference for Suppliers, and AML-Global Aids Communication

It takes more than a lot of sauce, dough and cheese to make a highly successful pizza delivery chain run. Founded in 1960, Domino’s Pizza is maybe the country’s best-known pizza delivery chain. When company leaders recently held a conference for suppliers and attendees from a number of different countries participated, the firm’s management called on American Language Services to provide conference interpretation in a number of different languages to suppliers from all corners of the globe.

The Domino’s Pizza, LLC conference took place in May at the Las Vegas Mirage. Anyone who has attended a conference where interpreters are being used to help enable all attendees to understand the speakers knows, the interpreters usually use fully encapsulated booths and transmission equipment to help isolate themselves from the conference attendees so that the sound of their language interpretations don’t distract other conference goers and perhaps ruin their conference experience.

Our equipment is probably closer than you’d think to the location where your event may be taking place. To aid in the delivery of discrete channels of communication, ensuring that only the intended participants received any of the channels of language interpretation, AML-Global provided six fully encapsulated booths and 320 headset-receivers, To accommodate all of the equipment that was needed for this conference, AML-Global also hired two technicians to oversee the electronics that were needed to broadcast the various interpretations, and to keep everything running on track.

The Nidau, Switzerland, office of the Monrovia, Calif., based firm, frequently calls on AML-Global to perform a variety of language services, including Arabic translation, Bengali translation, Farsi translation, German translation, Gujarati translation, Hindi translation, Italian translation, Kannada translation, Korean translation, Marathi translation, Malayalam translation, Portuguese translation, Punjabi translation, Spanish translation and Telugu translation.

Founded in 1985, United States based American Language Services (AML-Global) evolved from an intimate language school into the leading interpreting and translating agency it is today. AML-Global provides a full range of international multi-language communication services and offers its unique services worldwide. Our language professionals are available 24 hours/ 7 days a week.

In addition to text translation, American Language Services also produces voiceover media for the firm in a variety of languages, including Hindi, Farsi, Arabic, Telugu, Kannada, Portuguese, and German. Business has become increasingly global in recent years. Gone are the days when a firm in just about any given field could simply focus on customers and business ties merely in its own country, but instead must now rely on and cultivate relationships with potential customers, investors, suppliers, business partners and others who are dispersed around the world. The entire planet seems like a much smaller place, and because of that you are most likely going to find the need to communicate with others who do not speak English, and whose native languages you do not understand.

For more than 26 years AML-Global has worked with pharmaceutical, biotech and medical companies on a wide variety of documents and website projects. We have completed excellent quality work and have worked with numerous medical organizations on multiple translation projects, as well as interpreting assignments around the U.S. and internationally for many industries. We have also worked on projects that are large and complex and involve multiple language accommodations, highly technical terminology and complex desktop publishing, and we have worked with clients on simple straightforward translations in one language pair. We have worked on numerous projects with extremely fast turnaround times required. We have done cultural localization to ensure that their text, scripts, written, and audio materials were appropriate for local audiences.

Some of the different kinds of projects that we regularly translate include user guides, user manuals, training, quality assurance, compliance/regulatory, legal documents, quality control, clinical tests, marketing, clinical modules, surveys, studies, benefits announcements, newsletters, websites, standard operating procedures (SOP’s), directions for use (DFU’s), pharmaceutical engineering guides, ISPE certifications, manufacturing practices (CGMP’s), clinical trial documents (IND’s/NDA’s), enhanced documentation, MSDS date sheets.

On the technical side, we have worked with companies who have proprietary software programs imbedded in their website. This requires a high degree of technical skill to be able to convert languages in technical software, such as back-end applications, software strings and front-end user interface applications. We have utilized our desktop publishing (DTP) expertise to ensure that the websites have the desired look and feel after the language conversion takes place. This is a very important element because language expands and contracts, and is formatted in many ways. This needs to be accounted for to properly fit into the required website layout.
